In 2014, our founder, Gustav Hasselskog, established Candela with a vision deeply influenced by the environmental concerns of gasoline boats and their excessive operational costs. Inspired by innovators like Tesla, our team dedicated five years to research and development.

The outcome? We pioneered the world’s first electric boat that rivals fossil fuel boats in both speed and range. This achievement was realized as hydrofoils decreased our energy consumption by approximately 75%, allowing us to revolutionize boating without compromising performance. Currently, we’re not actively seeking additional external investment, but we are always on the lookout for like-minded partners.
